Rainbow HR support the Arriva bid for East Midlands Trains.

The team supported on the fleet, digital services, HR and sustainability workstreams.

In addition, Fiona Irvine supported on the strategic alignment of the bid, ensuring there was a clear golden thread and that a deliverable, innovative overall bid was created. This involved in leading the strategy kick off sessions, regular authors meetings and workstream specific support.

The bid scored highly across all the workstreams Rainbow HR supported.  All of our bid consultants have an operational background, as well as being seasoned bidders.

They are able to hit the ground running and are well used to the demands of rail franchise bidding.

Rainbow HR has supported Porterbrook during its journey to achieve Investors in People (IiP).

This involved working with the HR team to create the overall HR Strategy, which was aligned to the IiP framework and created an end-to-end people proposition, aligned to the vision and values of the organisation.

A number of initiatives were also put in place including aligning the organisational design to the business strategy, facilitation at a series of vision and values workshops, coaching key members of the team, delivery of employee engagement interventions, creating Lunch N Learn development sessions and implementing Health Shield to support employee well-being.

The business achieved IiP accreditation in 2018 and has recently achieved Gold status in 2020, a wonderful achievement after just 3 years.

A number of consultants from Rainbow HR supported this start-up, joint venture organisation between National Express and AMA in Bahrain, delivering a 150 fleet bus operation.

The team was accountable for the recruitment of 450 staff, sourced globally to ensure the business was able to start in February. Developing HR policies to meet the Group Global Standards and compliance with Bahrain labour law.

In addition they managed a complex operational training plan ensuring that we delivered the best levels of service from day 1.

The team also led on the overall programme management of project. All the objectives were either met or exceeded, with the Chief Executive of National Express recognising the HR team for their significant success in delivering trained employees in exceptionally short timescales.
