Requirement
Trinity Care Group (TCG) approached Rainbow HR in early December 2020 with an urgent requirement for 12 staff to be recruited and in place for a scheduled Training and Induction course on January 4th 2021.
Not only did they require specific experience but the new roles also called for individuals who already held or could get, an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certification, alongside references within a short space of time.
Solution
Tom Waddell and Fiona Irvine spent time with TCG director – Gemmamay Munroe, virtually, of course, to fully understand the company set up and fully get under the skin of the business. This allowed us to determine not just experience but also the attitude, personality and essentially to embed an external recruitment partner into the fabric of the business.
It was agreed that quick turnaround and open diaries were required in order to move people through the process consistently and quickly.
Tom would control all aspects of candidate communication including arranging the interviews, based on TCG having flexible and open diaries.
Recruits would come mainly from adverts and a programme of direct approach through sector research.
Outcome
Adverts were placed mid-December with the following results:
- 110 initial responses
- 24 first interviews arranged via Rainbow HR
- 15 short application forms sent to the TCG team for consideration
- Two candidate dropouts
- 13 selected for an interview with TCG
- The dropout of one interview candidate due to COVID-19
- 12 interviews carried out
- 12 offers made
- 12 offers accepted
On January 4th 2021, all 12 new starts turned up and completed the comprehensive induction and training approach TCG have endeavoured to deliver.
The Rainbow HR Approach
Every single applicant received an acknowledgement at the application stage. All applicants then received either an invite to interview or a polite rejection within 24 hours of applying.
During every one of the 24 Rainbow HR interviews, all applicants were advised at the end of the call if their application was being taken further and being forwarded to TCG team for next steps, or if unfortunately they were not being considered with a full explanation given as to why on every case.
The candidate interview with the TCG team time and date was agreed within 24 hours of the initial Rainbow HR call and followed up with detailed instructions and information to best prepare candidates and enable them to demonstrate their best self at interview.
Applicants were informed of the outcome of their TCG interview the same day with an offer emailed within 24 hours.
Every applicant had a confirmed provisional offer along with full training and induction joining instruction by December 24th 2020.
