Production Manager – £40,000 (OTE £45,000) St Helens, Merseyside
Rainbow HR are delighted to be working with Universal Arches - UAL (part of The Kaliber Group) to recruit a Production Manager for their site in St Helens, Merseyside. This is a fabulous opportunity for someone to run and grow the production facility to its full potential.
The Kaliber Group is privately owned, with a £9m turnover, comprising 5 well respected and successful businesses, which provide the trade with niche and premium quality glazing products. The ambition is to double the size of the Group within 5 years and Universal Arches plays an integral part in this.
The role is to lead a team of over 30 experienced and loyal staff, many of whom have been with the business for over 10 years. Universal Arches has been recognised by the trade as being the leading uPVC bending company in the UK for over 30 years. The company is very profitable and has recently invested in machinery to bend aluminium profiles, which will open up a new niche market.
You will lead the manufacturing team, with full budgetary responsibility to ensure the factory is run safely, profitably and in line with the business plan. To meet production output targets, within agreed cost and overhead budgets and ensure that the highest quality of product is manufactured and delivered. The role will also involve customer liaison, managing the supply chain and looking at continuous improvements to processes to ensure that productivity is maximised.
Our ideal candidate will come with:
- 5 years+ experience in a production management role, within SME manufacturing
- experience in the manufacture of doors and windows or closely associated products
- hands-on, collaborative leadership style, with the ability to build strong mutually beneficial relationships
- experience of change management, particularly within more traditional or family-owned organisations
Salary will be circa £40,000 plus a profit related bonus OTE - £45,000
